Edward M. Stevens - Chairman & CEO
After rising through the ranks of Dix & Eaton to become Vice-Chairman, Ed Stevens ran the Corporate Communications Departments for two Fortune 500 companies. He purchased Baron Advertising in 1999 and renamed it twice to reflect the firm’s expanding capabilities in terms of digital marketing and crisis communications. Ed has one of the industry’s best strategic minds. He is able to blend all communications in cost-effective programs for meaningful results.
Ed has served as president of the American Advertising Federation/Cleveland (AAF/Cleveland) and the Greater Cleveland and NE Pennsylvania Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Ed is the founding president of the Northern Ohio Communications Advocates (NOCA), an industry organization dedicated to retaining and attracting marketing and communications business in the Region. He a founder and past president of The Public Relations Global Network. He has been active with COSE, the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce, the Cuyahoga County and Lorain County Boards of Mental Retardation, and Cleveland Furniture Bank. He has earned awards public relations and advertising having earned Addys, Rocks, Niagaras, Vision, Tower and PRGN Best Practice awards for creativity, public relations, crisis communications and marketing communications.
Ed is well-schooled in branding, inquiry management, crisis communications, investor relations, media relations and marketing communications. He continues to speak and write on these subjects. Every program that Ed writes has a research component that measures the effectiveness of the programs that Stevens Strategic presents. He has significant experience in manufacturing, food/food service, safety, healthcare, government/military, environment, education, chemicals, banking, professional services, distribution, utilities and building/construction.

Julie Osborne is a skilled writer, editor and account manager. Jim DiFrangia - Account Executive
Jim DiFrangia came to SSC from First Energy where he worked in Corporate Communications and Marketing. At First Energy, Jim focused on customer loyalty programs that were groundbreaking in the electric utility category. Prior to this experience, Jim was an editor with HOUSEWARES magazine. As a board officer of the Northern Ohio Direct Marketing Association, Jim has provided outstanding direct response strategies that a number of SSC clients have profited from. A solid writer, Jim has been involved with food/food services, safety, high technology, appliance and manufacturing accounts while at SSC. He has been involved with Vita-Mix as well as public relations for Eriez, a company that markets to 80 different industries. Jim drives the PR programs for numerous SSC clients including Eriez, Soundwhich, Cleveland Vibrator, First Energy among others. His case study work helps clients grow their businesses. He has been an integral member of SSC crisis communications teams. He is also Hub Spot certified for social media work.

Client Services Manager
Meredith Traxler - Client Services Manager
Meredith Traxler is the client services manager at Stevens Strategic Communications. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Cleveland State University (CSU).
Meredith directs communication within the firm and is responsible for day-to-day operations, including finances, HR and facilities. She handles AP/AR, billing, sales and customer service. Additionally, Meredith is able to use her skills for project and event management for clients such as Domino’s, Bar Louie and The Web Association.
Meredith handles media relations, social media, Google AdWords™ programs, PR distribution, research and media/production services for SSC clients.
